BASICS

Before you write.

  • Confirm your iPhone is running iOS 26 or later.
  • Update to the newest available build in TestFlight.
  • Open the Roll and include the visible version/revision in your message.
  • Tell us which lens and capture mode you were using.
  • If the app closed unexpectedly, send the crash feedback offered by TestFlight.

PHOTOS & LOCAL ROLL

Where photographs live.

Are photographs saved to Photos automatically?

No. Captures first go to s'mple camera's private local Roll. Open a photograph and tap Save when you want to write a finished copy to the system Photos library.

Can I recover a photograph deleted from the local Roll?

No. After you confirm deletion, the app removes its local capture bundle. A copy previously saved to Photos or shared elsewhere remains in that destination.

Why is an original available for some photographs?

On supported iPhone cameras and capture modes, s'mple camera can retain an original RAW file beside the finished photograph. Hardware support varies by lens and device.

PERMISSIONS

Camera and Photos access.

The viewfinder is unavailable.

Open iOS Settings, find s'mple camera, and make sure Camera access is enabled. The app cannot capture without this permission.

Save does not add the photograph to Photos.

Make sure add-only Photos access is enabled for s'mple camera in iOS Settings. The app does not need full library access.

PUBLIC BETA

Testing with TestFlight.

Each TestFlight build is available for up to 90 days. TestFlight shows the expiry date and offers the latest build assigned to your testing group.

If the public invitation opens in a browser instead of TestFlight, open it on the iPhone where TestFlight is installed and tap View in TestFlight.

Useful details to includeiPhone model, iOS version, s'mple version/revision, the lens and mode selected, what you expected, what happened, and whether the issue repeats.
